Shannon has a commercial practice, with a particular interest in regulatory, corporate, competition and administrative law.
Prior to joining the Bar, Shannon clerked at the Competition Tribunal and completed his articles of clerkship in the litigation department of a leading firm of attorneys.
Shannon holds a BA Law (triple major) and an LLB (cum laude), both from the University of the Witwatersrand. He also holds a post-graduate diploma in competition economics (awarded with merit) from King's College London and is currently reading towards a MA in competition economics.
