Claire Avidon was admitted to the Johannesburg Society of Advocates in 2016. Claire holds BA and LLB degrees (both with distinction) from the University of the Witwatersrand and an LLM from the University of Cambridge.
Prior to joining the Johannesburg Bar, Claire was a clerk to Justice Cameron at the Constitutional Court. She was also admitted as an attorney in 2011 and practised in the competition law department at Bowman Gilfillan (now Bowmans).
Claire’s preferred areas of practice include general public and commercial law, with a particular interest in administrative, constitutional and competition law.
